School is in session

So I've been at Howard  University for about three weeks now, although it feels like its been much longer. I'm gonna try to post updates on this blog  as much as I can.

Also be sure to LIKE my Facebook page , I post updates/pics  on there more often.

Ive started classes , and so far I like my classes and my teachers. Im still getting used to being in DC and on this campus.

I currently stay on campus since this is my first semester , it is not ideal but it will do for now.  It is also convenient for getting to classes, since my classes are so early.

The start to the semester has been stressful but, it has also been  exciting.  I have always wanted to attend this university , now I am getting the opportunity to.

Update: School and life

Hi everyone ,

This Miss Newark blog hasnt been updated in a while but , i thought it was time for a update. My Miss Newark facebook page is growing everyday , so its nice to know that there are people still showing support and interested in what im up to . If you havent liked it yet , LIKE it here !

So since ive last talked to you , i have put the pageant crown down for a while and i was working and attending school at night. Ive recently stopped working , and now im trying to go to school full time. Its such a major change for me but , its time and im ready to start working to my dream to becoming a broadcast journalist. I need to finish school first in order for that to happen.

I was accepted to my dream school ....Howard University (yay!)  and I am estatic about it. Howard has a great communications program and the reputation is the best ! Although ive taken the leap of faith of attending Howard , my financial aid covers basically nothing.

My financial aid does not cover my living expenses which include living on campus , and a mandatory meal this semester. The Full-Time Tuition is $47,000.

Miss NJ USA 2013 pageant Update/Pics !

I competed in the  Miss New Jersey USA pageant this past October and had a great experience.  Although I did not place this year :( , I had a great experience and learned alot and I am looking forward to the next time I compete. Here are a few pics of my pageant weekend !
